2-Kategorie
- für je drei 0-Morphismen <math>x,y,z \in \mathcal C_0</math> und 1-Morphismen <math>f,g \in \mathcal C_1(y,z)</math> und <math>h,i \in \mathcal C_1(x,y)</math> eine horizontale Kompositionsoperation <math>\bullet\colon\mathcal C_2(f,g) \times \mathcal C_2(h,i) \to \mathcal C_2(f \bullet h, g \bullet i)</math>,
- <math>\mathrm{id}_y \bullet f = f = f \bullet \mathrm{id}_x</math> für alle 1-Morphismen <math>f\colon x \to y</math>,
- <math>f\bullet (g \bullet h) = (f \bullet g) \bullet h</math> für alle 1-Morphismen <math>f\colon y \to z, g\colon x \to y, h\colon w \to x</math>,
- <math>\mathrm{id}_g \circ \alpha = \alpha = \alpha \circ \mathrm{id}_f</math> für alle 2-Morphismen <math>\alpha\colon f \Rightarrow g</math>,
- <math>\alpha\circ (\beta \circ \gamma) = (\alpha \circ \beta) \circ \gamma</math> für alle <math>
f,g,h,i\colon x \to y, \alpha\colon h \Rightarrow i, \beta\colon g \Rightarrow h, \gamma\colon f \Rightarrow g</math>,
- <math>\mathrm{id}_{\mathrm{id}_y} \bullet \alpha = \alpha = \alpha \bullet \mathrm{id}_{\mathrm{id}_x}</math> für alle <math>
f,g\colon x \to y, \alpha \colon f \Rightarrow g</math>,
- <math>\alpha \bullet (\beta \bullet \gamma) = (\alpha \bullet \beta) \bullet \gamma</math> für alle <math>
f,g\colon w \to x, h,i\colon x \to y, j,k\colon y \to z, \alpha\colon j \Rightarrow k, \beta\colon h \Rightarrow i, \gamma\colon f \Rightarrow g</math>,
- <math>(\alpha \circ \beta) \bullet (\gamma \circ \delta) = (\alpha \bullet \gamma) \circ (\beta \bullet \delta)</math> für alle <math>
f,g,h\colon x \to y, i,j,k\colon y \to z, \alpha\colon j \Rightarrow k, \beta\colon i \Rightarrow j, \gamma\colon g \Rightarrow h, \delta\colon f \Rightarrow g </math>.
- <math>c_{x,y,y} \circ (i_y \times \mathrm{id}) = \pi_2 \colon 1 \times \mathrm{Hom}(x,y) \to \mathrm{Hom}(x,y)</math>,
- <math>c_{x,x,y} \circ (\mathrm{id} \times i_x) = \pi_1\colon \mathrm{Hom}(x,y)\times 1 \to \mathrm{Hom}(x,y)</math>,
- <math>c_{w,y,z} \circ (\mathrm{id}\times c_{w,x,y}) = c_{w,x,z} \circ (c_{x,y,z} \times \mathrm{id}) \colon \mathrm{Hom}(y,z)\times \mathrm{Hom}(x,y)\times \mathrm{Hom}(w,x) \to \mathrm{Hom}(w,z)</math>.
- <math>(\mathrm{id}_F \bullet \varepsilon) \circ (\eta \bullet \mathrm{id}_F) = \mathrm{id}_F</math>.
In kürzerer Form: <math>G \dashv F</math>, wenn es <math>\eta\colon D \Rightarrow FG</math> und <math>\varepsilon\colon GF \Rightarrow C</math> gibt mit
- <math>\varepsilon G \circ G \eta = G</math> und
- <math>F \varepsilon \circ \eta F = F</math>.
Beispiele[Bearbeiten]
<math>\le</math> in beiden Argumenten,
- <math>Mor_2(f_0,f_1)=\left\{h\in H\colon f_1(g)=hf_0(g)h^{-1}\ \forall\ g\in G\right\}</math>
- <math>Mor_2(f_0,f_1)=\left\{H\colon X\times\left[0,1\right]\to Y\colon H(x,i)=f_i(x)\ \forall\ x\in X, i\in\left\{0,1\right\}\right\}</math>
