R-Matrix
In der statistischen Physik werden Matrizen <Math>R\in Mat(n)</Math>, welche der Yang-Baxter-Gleichung (nach C. N. Yang<ref>Yang, Some exact results for the many-body problem in one dimension with delta-function interaction, Phys. Rev. Lett., Band 19, 1967, S. 1312–1314, doi:10.1103/PhysRevLett.19.1312</ref> und Rodney Baxter<ref>Baxter, Solvable eight-vertex model on an arbitrary planar lattice, Phil. Trans. Royal Soc., Band 289, 1978, S. 315–346, doi:10.1098/rsta.1978.0062, Modul:JSTOR * Modul:JSTOR:170: attempt to index field 'wikibase' (a nil value)</ref>):
- <math>R^{12}R^{13}R^{23}=R^{23}R^{13}R^{12}</math>

- <math>R(e_i\otimes e_j)=\sum_{k,l}r_{ij}^{kl}e_k\otimes e_l</math>.
Die Yang-Baxter-Gleichung lässt sich schreiben als
- <math>R^{12}R^{13}R^{23}=R^{23}R^{13}R^{12}</math>,
Also
- <math>R^{12}=R\otimes id, R^{23}=id\otimes R</math>
und
- <math>R^{13}(e_i\otimes e_j\otimes e_k)=\sum_{a,b}r_{ik}^{ab}e_a\otimes e_j\otimes e_b</math>.
